Use of Names, Quotes, and Attributions

It is the responsibility of the requesting unit to obtain appropriate written permissions or release forms for any quoted individuals included in submitted content—such as students, alumni, donors, faculty, or external partners. This applies to both direct quotes and paraphrased statements attributed to named individuals.

OMC is not responsible for verifying, securing, or managing permissions related to third-party quotes. If proper releases are not obtained, OMC reserves the right to omit or modify the quoted content at its discretion.

Should a quoted individual request removal or express concern about the use of their name, words, or likeness, the matter will be referred back to the requesting unit for resolution. OMC will not mediate such disputes, nor will we be held responsible for reputational, legal, or interpersonal fallout resulting from the inclusion of improperly cleared content.
