Policy: Multimedia Policies

Overall responsibility of the strategy and approved concept of promotional multimedia communications belongs to Marketing and Communications and the initiator.

Creation and use of new and existing multimedia content must conform to the university's intellectual property and copyright policy.

Graphic Content

Graphic content includes tables, illustrations, photos or other artwork.

Graphic content used on websites must be created or approved by the Office of Web Communications. Graphic content may be requested through the Marketing Request Form. Graphic content not approved or created by Web Communications is subject to removal.

Video Content

  • All videos used for promotional purposes on the Loyola University New Orleans website must be less than 5 minutes in duration.
  • Requests to Web Communications for video content is limited to vice presidents, deans, and directors, and is intended to communicate overall university-wide messages. Multimedia content intended for prospective students must be initiated through the Office of Admissions.
  • Video content requests should be made via Web Request Form and require a development timeline of 8-12 weeks. All copy and concepts are required at the start of the project. Failure to provide necessary materials will cause the production timeline to be adjusted appropriately.
  • Promotional video content is not created for student groups or individual promotion.
