Short Bio

Allee Parker joined Loyola as the Graphic Designer for the Office of Marketing Communications in 2000. Previously she worked as Art Director at Henneman Design in New Orleans, conceptually developing corporate materials for clients such as Stewart Enterprises, New Orleans Museum of Art, Parish National Bank, and English Turn.

Mrs. Parker has 15 years of experience in designing print, specialty items, and signage. She assisted with the implementation of the university’s integrated marketing communications plan that helped launch national and international ad campaigns for the university in major publications such as U.S. News and Newsweek, which led to Loyola’s national rankings.

Currently, Allee oversees artistic and conceptual direction of the official university print materials and signage for Loyola. She also designs and develops Loyola’s marketing materials for fundraising and recruitment. Allee establishes and enforces policies and procedures on the university logo, graphic identity, and branding university-wide and to respective vendors. She is also responsible for supervising and approving all Loyola merchandise in the Loyola Bookstore.

Allee served as the Adviser for the Pack Pride Committee (a grass roots campaign to promote school spirit on campus, which was part of the university’s integrated marketing communications plan).

She has been a member of the of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, The Advertising Club of New Orleans, the University & College Designers Association, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Some of her recent awards include: a gold award from the 2010 Annual Education Advertising Awards for the Loyola U.S.News ad, and two silver awards for the Class of 2013 Beads Medallion, and “It takes a Campus” Faculty/Staff campaign booklet; a gold award from the 2009 Admissions Advertising Awards for the Class of 2012 Beads Medallion; 3 Silver 2008 ADDY Awards for the Class of 2012 Beads Medallion, Admissions “Visit Loyola” brochure, and the Fall 2007 Alumni Magazine; a Silver Award from the 2008 Jesuit Administrators Association (JAA) for the Loyola Campus Map Brochure; 4 Gold 2007 ADDY Awards for the “Visit Loyola” brochure, Board of Trustees brochure, the Fall 2006 Alumni Magazine, and the overall Admissions recruitment materials; Citation of Excellence from 2004 Council for Advancement and Support of Education Competition (CASE), Annual Awards Competition, for visual design in print, for the “Campaign for Preeminence” materials; Award of Merit from the 2004 JAA, for the Alumni Events brochure; 1 Gold and 1 Silver 2003 ADDY Awards for Undergraduate Prospectus brochure design and the “Creative Thinking” Outdoor Transit Advertising; Certificate of Excellence in Illustration from the 2002 AIGA, Biennial Competition for the Loyola Student Handbook Cover.

Allee and her family reside in Algiers Point where she is currently on the Board of the Confetti Kids Parks, which cares and promotes several parks in the Algiers area. She has a large background of artistic skills from photography to large steel sculpture welding, and currently paints watercolors. She previously exhibited and sold her watercolor paintings at Morgan-West Gallery on Magazine Street.
